Working Together, Accomplishing More
The inner city offers a wealth of business opportunities. Impact brings local knowledge, a ready network of relations, and a will to serve, to its business association work.
Knowing that running a business is hard enough without having to battle an excess of daily disruptions, and annoyances, the business associations also help companies grapple with the graffiti, crime, short dumping, and other issues that erode profit and distract management from its key responsibilities.
The Associations’ monthly meetings bring business owners and managers together with representatives of many city service providers, enhancing cross-departmental collaboration and speeding the resolution of parking, zoning, safety, sanitation and inspection issues.
Professional service providers are vetted, and access to public and private capital is improved by information sharing and a common commitment to improving the business climate and opportunities.
Starting with membership in the American St. Business Association, Impact now provides management services to three associations—American Street Erie Avenue Business Association, Kensington and Allegheny Business Association, and Aramingo Business Association.
Impact regularly communicates with over 1000 area businesses and annually involves over 250 companies in events, meetings, and projects.

“We felt very welcomed. I couldn’t believe how helpful they were! They quickly resolved with PECO and the Parking Authority, as well as helped with local outreach. City officials weren’t just responsive, they were proactive! I was amazed.”
