Impact Services works with community members and local business owners to build a strong and healthy Kensington
Empowered Neighbors, Strong Community
Our community outreach coordinators work with both neighbors and city officials to stabilize vacant lots and buildings, clean trash, organize events, and advocate for Kensington. Every summer we organize the PlayStreets Program, which ensures a safe place for kids to play and a nutritious meal to eat. We are currently working with NKCDC and LISC to create a trauma-informed community development model.
Building Economic Resilience
Through the Impact Loan Fund, Impact is helping entrepreneurs build the local economy and create new jobs. Our corridor managers work with current and aspiring business owners on Kensington and Aramingo Avenues to ensure a strong neighborhood economy.
Our BenePhilly coordinator screens and enrolls for public assistance programs such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and many others.
