A & INDIANA

We are redeveloping a mixed-use campus that includes a 140,000 sf former-mill building at the corner of A & Indiana.

The Kensington Commons project is a multi-phased, mixed-use campus that will include affordable housing for low-income families, medical and social services, a recreational facility, two green spaces, a training site for tradespeople, and transitional housing for veterans.

Projected Outcomes

  • 48 affordable family housing units

  • 56 units of veterans transitional housing

  • 70,000 square feet of non-residential commercial space

  • 13,000 sf year round community flex space

  • creation or retention of 200-250 jobs in the facility

Phasing Plan

Due to the scale of the building, the project is intended to be split up into an affordable housing phase and a New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) commercial phase.

  • Phase I – Low-income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) project that will include 8,000 square feet of non-residential space.

  • Phase II – The remaining building will be renovated into a multi-tenant building focused on community service providers for the neighborhood.

Tenants

We will move our main offices to the site and are seeking tenants for the commercial space including childcare providers, health care providers, and education providers to occupy the five floors in the building.
